Blog #0: Reflections On The Blogosphere
There are about 7.5 million blog posts that published everyday and somehow, today I am one of those 7.5 million that is publishing today. I have never written my own blog nor have I been aware that I was reading a blog before, but if watching Dog With A Blog when I was 8 counts, then I have dabbled in the art of blogging. Kidding.
Over the past couple of days, I have done some research on different types of blogs. The ones I initially looked over were the lifestyle and fitness types. As I continued my search of finding blogs that I resonate with, I stumbled upon music, daily news, drama, fashion, really any type of genre you can think of, there is a blog for it out there.
I think blogs allow for a wide audience as blogs aren't confined to any one genre or any one topic. Any blog can talk about, quite literally, anything the publisher wishes. Reading blogs allows one to broaden their horizon of reading as they can choose which blog to read based on whatever they feel like that day. I am most interested in fitness and lifestyle youtubers, so it was easy for me to find a couple of blogs that resonated with me and the things I am interested in. It was also easy to find things that I didn't like too much.
One blog that aligned with my interests is Born Fitness. The author, Adam Bornstein, has numerous entries and even has his own online coaching program that he has encrypted into his website. The layout of his blogs is user friendly. All of the titles are straight to the point and are concise and consistent as to what the reader is going to see in the specific entries. Bornstein also includes before and after images of his clients from his coaching program in some of the entries. This is to show the results from his coaching and to validate his expertise in the fitness realm. Showing the before and after pictures may also entice the readers to continue reading his blog as it pertains to diet and exercise. The images may also get the readers to follow and purchase his personalized coaching program.
picturebut it's just not easy to get invested into a type of blog like this, for me. I can see how family and friend however, might be interested in this blog.
