Blog #6: Crumbl Cookie

Image
For the most part, I try to eat clean and mostly whole foods. When it comes to Crumbl however, I literally cannot resist. I love Crumbl with a passion. There is so much to unpack about Crumbl from the uniqueness, the physical experience of the store, and how they give back to the community.   Unique Concept     What sets Crumbl apart from other cookie shops or chains is its weekly menu. Every week, the company introduces new flavors alongside classic favorites like the Milk Chocolate Chip and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk. This creates a sense of excitement and anticipation coming from consumers. In my opinion this is a really good marketing technique as the changing selection encourages customers to return to check out the latest cookies.  Physical Experience     When you walk into a Crumbl, you enter and are greeted by the welcoming employees. Your nose is also filled with the aroma of baking cookies that permeates through the air. C...

Entry #5: Higher Education in the Grand Canyon State

Image
As a college student in Arizona, I've had my fair share of discussions about whether attending college is truly worthwhile. In my opinion, it is not worth it to spend so much money and time doing something that you're not even sure about. The rising costs of tuition added with the burden of student debt, make the decision rather daunting. Although this is the case, I believe Arizona needs a better support system for its academic qualities.  Dollars and Degrees      According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Arizonans that have obtained their bachelor's degrees "make 67% more" in median wages than individuals with just their high school diplomas. This statistic goes to show that significant financial advantages are correlational with a college degree. Not only do those with a higher education receive financial benefits, they also are rewarded with valuable experience and knowledge that may be able to enhance their personal and professional lives. ...

Entry #4: Mindful Eating

Image
What is Mindful Eating?     Mindful eating is the practice of being fully present and aware of what you're putting into your body. Eating is truly a captivating experience that many of us take for granted. When you're eating, try to notice the colors, smells, tastes, and textures of the food you are going to eat. This will allow you to slow down and be fully conscious of what you're eating.  Benefits of Mindful Eating        Not only does mindful eating allow one to be fully engaged into the eating experience, but it also promotes a deeper connection with food.      I have recently been trying to become a bit more mindful when I'm eating. I try to be aware about the amount of food I'm eating and what I am eating. I used to overeat and feel sick after every single meal. After I noticed this, I wanted to make a change. Now, I only eat until I am no longer hungry. I would eat until I was over-full.        ...

Entry #3: Slanted Reporting and Scare Tactics About the Upcoming Election

Image
Slanted Reporting      There are plenty of slanted reports that people or corporations use in order to manipulate public perception, shape narratives, or to advance their own agendas. Slanted reporting is heavily relied on bias. We can see it almost everywhere! Ads, commercials, and product endorsements are the most common types of slanted reporting that we see on a day-to-day basis.                          Trump's Endorsed Attack Ad     The video linked above is a relevant slanted report regarding the upcoming election. The clip is only about 30 seconds long, but Trump's team manages to implement a series of misleading claims and emotional appeals designed to sway the audience. By selectively editing statements and omitting critical content, the ad shapes a distorted narrative for the sole purpose of undermining Kamala Harris' credibility. The ad says that Kamala "covered up" Bidens mental ...
